JackTimothy Rosebrook

Our precious little baby boy was born on Wednesday, December 2 at 1:54 pm. He weighed in at a healthy 9 lbs. 9 oz. and 21 in long. He and his Mom and Dad are doing great and we're all adjusting to life at home very well. Jack likes to be awake more at night but that's OK. :) He brings us so much joy already- we look forward to each new day we have with him. Parenting has its challenges for sure but every parent is right when they say that it's the most rewarding role as well. We'll try to keep updates and new pics on here. Luckily, our families have taken a lot of good pictures for us since we haven't had the time to download them yet. We also have some great videos we'll try to put on here. Thanks to everyone for all of the Congrats, visits, phone calls/texts, etc. We can't wait to share Jack with all of you! :)

Almost time!

So it looks like the baby is very comfy! The doctor today said that not much has changed and she could see me still being pregnant by Sunday, so we're doing an induction tomorrow night! We go in at 8 pm Tuesday night and hope to welcome Baby Rosebrook on Wednesday sometime! The doctor said it could take awhile but a normal delivery is expected! We are so overjoyed and cannot wait!

Please keep us all in your prayers as we look forward to bringing our precious little one into this world.

40+ weeks!

Ok...no baby just yet. :) We have an appointment with our doctor tomorrow morning (monday) to see if I have made any progress. It looks like she (doctor) wants me to deliver sometime this week though so as not to go past 41 weeks.

We'll try and post another update tomorrow. I hope to be able to go to labor on my own and not have to be induced, but we'll see. It was a great Thanksgiving with Brian's parents and family and my parents and sister. We know we'll see everyone again real soon and can't wait to have them all meet little Baby Rosebrook. Brian and I are anxious but so excited and happy that the baby is cozy in my tummy. :)

39 weeks!

This picture shows that I am ready, huh? We want the baby to come when he/she is ready (just not too late please!). Healthy is all that matters. Family from both sides are coming in for Thanksgiving this week and it would be great to celebrate with the baby too. :)

I had some small contractions last night but they went away when I went to sleep. We'll see! I go to the doctor again tomorrow and hopefully she'll tell us things have progressed. Last week's appt was good but nothing much had changed from the week before.

38 weeks!

It's getting down to the final stretch! Hard to believe the due date is less than 2 weeks away, though I feel ready! Having some typical aches and pains and my hands/fingers are constantly asleep and hurting. I really cannot complain though...each little ache and pain is one step closer to meeting our little angel. :)

Today is Brian's birthday too- looks like the baby won't be sharing a b-day with his/her daddy but they'll be close! Happy Birthday, Bri! If you haven't checked it out yet, Brian posted a short video of our baby room below. We just bought a new camcorder- very exciting!

37 weeks!

37 weeks and going strong! We'll be posting more pics of the baby room soon! We just bought a HD camcorder with some gift cards and Brian wants to download a video of the nursery so stay tuned...

I have been feeling pretty well. I feel like I've dropped a little and have been experiencing some discomfort...overall good though! We bought the car seat and some other baby essentials this weekend with my sister Leah who came to visit. It was a restful yet very productive weekend!

Halloween... 36 Weeks.

Hello everyone, we just got back from celebrating Timmy's birthday in Cincy. That should be our last out of town trip until after the baby's born. In case you didn't notice, Timmy's birthday party doubles as a Halloween party, hence the "Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin" costumes. On a side note, I wanted to thank everyone for your support throughout the last 8 months. Lauren and I are very fortunate to be surrounded by such caring friends and family. We can't wait to introduce Baby Rosebrook to all of you.

Work baby shower

Today was my work shower and it was wonderful! My awesome teaching team made it so much fun and I really appreciate it! Baby R. got a lot of nice things from my co-workers! Thanks Carol, Mimi, Crissy, Debby and Linda! Love the Curious George diaper cake and yummy real cake too! :)

35 weeks!

It's already over 35 weeks with just a month to go! Can't believe Baby Rosebrook will be here so soon. :)

Here's another pic of the crib- can't stop taking pictures of it. We've spent the past week washing some of the clothes, blankets, etc. and straightening up the baby room. Just being in there makes me happy. :)

The doctor said everything looks good so far with the baby and myself. Hopefully that means he/she won't be coming too early or too late for that matter. Haha. A Thanksgiving baby would be great though we're happy for whenever he/she decides to come. Until next week...

34 weeks!

This shirt really shows the bump so I thought I'd see what it looked like 2 weeks after the last time I wore it. Man, has the belly grown! :)

I am feeling well though it is getting harder to do simple things, such as pick something up from the ground, get out of bed, etc. Not complaining though because I have loved being pregnant. Little Baby Rosebrook will be here before we know it and we cannot wait to meet him/her!

I have an appointment with the doctor this week and I'm hoping she'll let us know where the baby is positioned. Stay tuned!

33 weeks!

Another great baby shower! This time in Deshler, OH at my mother-in-law's house. She and my sister-in-law JoLynn threw a wonderful shower and Baby Rosebrook received a lot of nice goodies. :)

Thanks to everyone who came! It was a long drive for my parents and sister Leah but they made the drive up as well. The picture of the 4 pregnant ladies is of 2 of Brian's cousins and JoLynn (in the teal color) and myself. Lots of us with buns in the oven! How exciting!

32 weeks!

31 weeks!

What a great weekend! The Buckeyes, Lions and Bengals all won!! Woohoo! The baby was happy...lots and lots of movement. :)

30 weeks!

Wow-30 weeks. That sounds so close! Everything is going great! I have been dealing with a cold all weekend which isn't fun but other than that all is wonderful. :)

I had my first little shower yesterday with some Columbus friends- thanks again Stacy for setting it up! The baby got some very nice things. It's so fun getting baby stuff and putting it in the room and just looking at it all knowing we'll be using it very soon. Yesterday I put some headphones on my belly for the first time. I sing often, especially at my job with the kiddos, so hopefully our little one will love music! :)

The crib/mattress has arrived and is put together! It is from Brian's parents and we love it! It matches our changing table perfectly. We put some more wall decorations up above the crib- very cute! Let us know what you guys think.

My Bengals jersey still fits- sort of. :) Not a good weekend for the Bengals, Buckeyes or the Lions but baby is still happy. Lots of kicking going on even as it is getting crowded in there!

28 weeks- Beginning of 3rd trimester!

Yes, it is now officially the 3rd trimester! We can't believe how fast the time has gone! People say it will be here before we know it. We have a lot to get done before the baby gets here but are anxiously awaiting his/her arrival.

It's funny how many people try to guess the sex of the baby. I've had a few say they are positive it's a girl but then others that think it's a boy. It's fun to hear people's reasoning and old wives' tales. Like we always say, we have no preference and just want a healthy baby. :)

27 weeks!

Here I am at Ben and Anna's birthday party. Even though my belly gets bigger everyday, this shirt really accentuates the bump! It was a great weekend and my cousin Susanne, sister Leah, Dad and Mom were able to feel the baby kick. :)

Put-N-Bay

26 weeks

This is in Put-N-Bay where Brian and I went for the weekend to surprise his mom for her birthday. We had a great time! I love bike riding but it is definitely more tiring when you are 6 months pregnant! :)

Here are the cute animal stickers we bought at Target for the walls, since we can't paint it. This is the changing table/dresser we just put together that my parents bought us.
It' s so much fun putting things in the room! We have been given some baby things from our siblings who have kids which we greatly appreciate too!

We'll post more pics when we get more of the room decorated (ie. the crib, more decorations, etc).

25 weeks!

Prenatal Massage

Today I had my first prenatal massage. I said "first" because I do intend to get another one before the baby comes. I think it will be really good for me, especially those backaches I have started to endure more regularly. :)
Brian also had a massage...it was an anniversary present for the both of us! Tomorrow my parents come to visit and they are bringing the wedding cake. Yum!! I can hardly wait to eat it on Sunday! Can't believe it's been almost a year that we've been married. A great year indeed. :)

24 weeks!

I felt the baby kick for the first time last night! We had pizza for dinner so I thought that it may have been "indigestion", but Lauren reassured me that it was in fact the baby:)
